Herts Beekeepers Autumn Honey Show 2026

The Hertfordshire Beekeepers Autumn Honey Show takes place on Saturday 26th September 2026 at the Christchurch Peartree Hall, 20 Tewin Road, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 1BW.

Doors open at 9.30am and entry to the show is free of charge and open to all.

It features :

• Twelve different competition classes
  • Ten that will be judged
  • Two people’s choice classes

10.30am – 11.30am	Roger Patterson – Dead Bees Don’t Buzz – Surviving the Winter
1.00pm – 2.00pm	Ted Gradosielski – My Beekeeping Year
2.30pm – 3.30pm	Roger Patterson – Beekeeping: Challenge what you are told
3.30pm	Results of Honey Competition and Presentation of Examination Awards
4.00pm	Close

Competition Entry

The competition classes are as follows:

1. Super frame ready to extract
2. One 1lb jar of runny honey – light colour
3. One 1lb jar of runny honey – medium or dark colour
4. One 1lb jar of crystallised or set honey
5. One 1lb jar of honey from a beginner
6. One bottle of mead
7. One Honey, Sultana & Apricot Cake
8. Six beeswax blocks
9. Two matching beeswax candles
10. Container of cut comb
11. Colour or black and white photograph
12. Decorative or Artistic item

Refreshments

Tea, coffee and cake will be served throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch.

Tickets

Entry to the show is free of charge and open to all – no tickets required.
